Once Mixed
Only mix material needed and apply mixture to cleaned patch area with a margin trowel or spackle knife at 1/16” thickness. Let the material set for approximately 5 minutes depending upon the temperature. Cooler temperatures will take longer to set. Warm or hot temperatures will set quicker.
Dip the tile sponge into the bucket of cool water and wring out so that the sponge is moist but not soaked. Use the sponge to blend the edges and smooth the first coat. Mix the remainder of the patch kit. Dip a long-bristled paint brush into the patch kit and flick the material onto the patch area. Wait about 5 minutes’ and use a pool trowel to knock down the drops of material flicked from the brush.
One pass is all that is needed. The area should be completely dried within a few hours. Use the edge of the trowel to scrape any nips or burs from the patched area. A grinding stone may also be used.
The deck is now ready to be resealed once it is fully cleaned and dried.
