SOLICITATION, OFFER AND AWARD (SOA) 201900352
AMENDMENT 01
Attention Offerors:
This serves to notify all Offerors that SOA 201900352 is hereby amended to provide the following information to assist Offerors in the preparation of their proposals:
1. Is this a new requirement or is there currently a company performing this work?
Answer: This is a rebid and there is a current company servicing the Board.
2. If there is an incumbent, who is the company?
Answer: A FOIA request is needed for this information.
3. What is the contract number and overall value?
Answer: See response to question #2.
4. How many total full time employees (FTE's) are on the current contract?
Answer: See response to question #2.
5. Section I.1 pg. 23 mentions "Past Performance Questionnaires". Will the
Board supply instructions and a template for the submittal of Past Performance Questionnaires, if they are required?
Answer: If the Board requires additional information regarding Offeror’s past performance, the Board will provide the questionnaire with instructions to the reference(s) directly.
6. Was a site visit required in order to submit a bid/proposal?
Answer: No
7. When does the Board anticipate the reopening of the Martins building?
Answer: January 2021, see Section 2.1 of the SOA.
8. Does the Board have floor plans for the renovations?
Answer: The floor plans have not been finalized; therefore, cannot be provided at this time. It is understandable if pricing cannot be provided due to this.
9. Section C.2.2.3 requires a firm fixed price per SQFT for mosquito and bee treatment. Mosquitos and Bees are free flying insects, whereas a fixed price per SQFT would be difficult if not impossible to provide since Offerors cannot determine how far activity may extend which may result in the use of special equipment. Is it possible to remove SQFT and replace with “provide an estimate per occurrence as specified for other pest listed in the bid”?
Answer: Offerors shall offer pricing base on per occurrence instead of SQFT.
10. Section I.2.d – What document(s) would be accepted to certify and if there is an agreement with a taxing jurisdiction, what information is needed?
Answer: A certified letter from the Offeror’s Accountant or tax preparer is acceptable.
11. Section C.2.1.2 – “The Contractor shall complete all inspections and treatments with and without pesticides on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of every week at Eccles and NYA buildings.” Is the Board requesting the technician to treat Eccles and NYA buildings three (3) days a week?
Answer: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are the preferred days in which technicians may inspect and/or treat the buildings, all additional inspections and treatment will be coordinated with the COR.
12. Please provide floor plans for each building.
Answer: See attached floor plans.
13. Section C.2.1.3 – “The Contractor shall complete all inspections and treatments with and without pesticides at the Martin building commencing in January 2021, as it is currently under renovation. Treatment is expected to begin on or about January 2021, pending completion of construction and shall occur Monday, Wednesday and Friday of every week.” Is the Board requesting the technician to treat the Martin building three (3) days a week?
Answer: See response to question #11.
14. Section 2.1.6 – “ The Contractor shall complete inspections and treatments with and without pesticides on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of every week at all parking garages and exterior grounds for Eccles, Martin, North Garage, 1951, and NYA.” Is the Board requesting the technician to treat these buildings/areas three (3) days a week?
Answer: See response to question #11.
15. Does the technician, who will be servicing this Contract, have to be listed in the proposal?
Answer: Yes, the technician is considered Key Personnel for this Contract.
16. Will priming the drains be part of the duties of the Contract?
Answer: Yes, in all problem areas.
All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged.
Sincerely, Helen Nguyen Contract Specialist
