Questions and Answers 2016-00615
1. What are the specific test performance specifications that the chamber will run? I understand the overall temperature and humidity ranges, but need to know the exact conditions the tests will be run at.
Technically, there are no sets of specifications. Tests will vary on a day to day basis with no consistent set-up.
1. How many door openings will happen during the tests?
As many as necessary to perform the task. Essentially, there will be one door opening to get people inside at the beginning and one to get people outside at the end.
1. Are there any lighting specifications?
No. Standard interior lighting, dimmable.
1. It calls for two persons to be in the chamber during tests. There is no mention of make-up air. How long will persons be in the room during the testing?
Up to eight (8) hours (need to make up air for two (2) people at three (3) hours, maybe adjustable to four (4) people). May want to put up to six (6) people in chamber at a time during tests. Tests will not exceed eight (8) hours. The chamber is not sealed as a clean room. The chamber will be connected to our HVAC system.
1. Are there any move-in restrictions for the equipment on its path to its final location?
Chamber needs to be assembled on site when delivered. Must fit through a 16’x12’ door, then lifted by lift-harness using an overhead crane.
1. It looks like some of the details of the specification might have got cut off. Can you confirm that all the information is clear, readable and complete?
Spec Sheet is Complete as Posted.
1. What is the overall dimensions of the area where the chamber will be placed?
20’x30’ (Twenty feet by Thirty Feet)
1. What options are you really interested in on the options page?
Depending on the cost of the standard chamber, of the required size, the following are options we may consider:
· Upgrade 48” wide door to 60” wide door
· External removable ramp
· Temperature and Humidity Recorder
· ETL listed electrical panel conforming to UL 508A
1. Is there a limit on the electrical service available? Are separate electrical connections required for the chamber are remote air cooled condenser?
No limit. NIOSH can adapt electrical connects as necessary.
