About this file
This Brand Name Only Determination document supports a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol Spokane Sector procurement for five solid oxide fuel cell power systems and five filter kits, specifically from Edge Autonomy Energy Systems. The brand-name justification is based on the need for compatibility with existing power supply systems, as the Spokane Sector currently operates 19 Adaptive Energy fuel cells at solar-powered sites. The procurement requires ensuring programming compatibility, dimensional fit for proprietary mounting systems, and compatibility with current solar controllers and low voltage disconnect computer systems.
The solicitation (RFQ 20150774) is a small business set-aside under NAICS code 334413, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. Quotation submissions are due by May 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET, to be emailed to Contracting Officer Benjamin Dorgan. The award will be made using a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, evaluating technical approach, past performance, and price. Quoters must provide their SAM UEI number, firm-fixed pricing, technical approach summary, and three references. The government anticipates issuing a purchase order and reserves the right to award without discussions.
