About this file

The document is a CBP Contractor Information Sheet for a short-term contractor visit to the U.S. Border Patrol Canine Academy in El Paso, TX. The sheet provides a template for capturing visitor details and outlines strict security protocols for contractor access to CBP facilities. Key requirements include submitting visitor information 72 hours prior to arrival, mandatory escort procedures (one escort per 1-4 visitors), and mandatory presentation of U.S. government-issued photo identification. Visitors must check in and out at the security desk, and unauthorized unescorted presence in CBP spaces will result in immediate reporting and removal.

The associated federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for up to 3 dual-purpose detection canines for the Border Patrol K9 Center. The solicitation is 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 112990, with a $2.75M size standard. Quotes are due by August 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST, to be evaluated in a three-phase process considering breed conformance, availability, open orders, past performance, and price. The top-ranked offeror will be required to deliver canines to the El Paso, TX location for medical, physical, and behavioral evaluation, with the government reserving the right to terminate the purchase order if canines do not meet requirements.
