1 BACKGROUND

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking quotations in an effort to purchase various parts and accessories required for existing Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS) to perform detection activities, on metal fencing and on the ground, for the United States Border Patrol (USBP). This requirement is to maintain and update a critical portion of the existing UGS program and refresh outdated technology. USBP intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Type Contract to fulfill these requirements. This procurement intends to be maintenance and expansion of the existing UGS program managed by the GIS Branch (USBP-GIS). This document and procurement is Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES). Detailed specifications for the equipment and accessories are in section 5.

2 SCOPE

a. This document describes the products and execution requirements relating to the purchase of sensors and equipment in support of the current USBP UGS system.

b. The work included under this specification consists of furnishing equipment at a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) that is identical or equal to equipment outlined in section 5.

c. The contractor must address all parts, sections, and items in this Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor must clearly identify any exception taken to any Part, Section, or Item of the SOW. If the Brand Name product is not being offered, the contractor must provide documentary proof, i.e. specifications, of the offered products, indicating the compatibility, suitability and durability of the offered products, and outlining how the salient characteristics of the Brand Name are being met.

d. This requirement is Law Enforcement Sensitive.
