Questions for Flu Storage Solicitation 2009-N-11520
1. Question: I couldn't find in the information the actual pickup location of the vaccine. Would it be at the CDC in Atlanta?
Response: Once this contract is awarded, the influenza vaccines will be delivered directly to the new Storage Contractor’s facility – from the manufacturers – as indicated in the solicitation in Section C.5.1.(a).
2. Question: Would the storage facility need to make deliveries if requested? We offer that service just didn't see it clearly specified in the documents.
Response: Yes, influenza vaccine may be ordered for distribution or release from the Influenza Strategic Reserve. (Please see Sections C.5.3 and C.6 in the solicitation) At this time, all deliveries will be made to distribution centers in either Memphis, Tennessee or Sacramento, California. (Please see Section C.6.c) The number of deliveries varies with influenza seasons; for example, there were less than ten deliveries from the Reserve to the distribution centers during the last season.
3. Question: In looking at the specs on the product it doesn't appear to be that much product....approx 30 pallets?
Response: There are approximately 28 total pallets estimated for all three products – based on the manufacturers’ product specifications detailed in Section C.5.1.(b).
