About this file

This document is a Single Source Advertisement for the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB), detailing an intended non-competitive procurement for a vehicle tracking software system from Verizon Connect. The solicitation is open from May 29, 2025, to June 19, 2025, and seeks to acquire a proprietary Reveal GPS Vehicle Tracking System for fiscal year 2025-2026. The procurement is specifically for vehicular global positioning system (GPS) hardware and software, with an estimated not-to-exceed budget of $3,900.00.

The justification for the single-source procurement centers on Verizon Connect's unique proprietary software solution, which provides cloud-based fleet management capabilities including maintenance tracking, safety alerts, fuel management, driver behavior monitoring, GPS tracking, and video capture solutions. The hardware is explicitly stated as incompatible with other vehicle location systems, and Verizon Connect is the sole provider of the Reveal Software Solution. The procurement follows statutory requirements for a fifteen-business day advertisement, allowing potential vendors to challenge the single-source determination by contacting Kim Whitwam, the Director of Purchasing, at whitwamk@fsdbk12.org.
