About this file

This document is a Single Source Advertisement for a contract opportunity from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB). FSDB is seeking a sole source provider for special logo manhole covers and iron rings for FY 2023-2024, with an estimated dollar amount not-to-exceed $41,000.00. The intended source is US Foundry & Mfg., Corp. located in Medley, Florida. The justification for the single source acquisition is that US Foundry is the only manufacturer of the special logo cover, and FSDB cannot warrant their rings with a competitor's cover or their covers with a competitor's ring.

The pricing for this contract is not-to-exceed $41,000.00. The contract will be awarded to US Foundry & Mfg., Corp. as the sole source provider. The contract will be for FY 2023-2024, with no renewal options specified. The contract will primarily serve the Miami-Dade County and Miami Beach City jurisdictions in Florida.

Performance and/or Design Requirements:

Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) is in need of special logo manhole covers and iron rings. for FY 2023-2024

Estimated Dollar Amount Not-to-Exceed: $41,000.00 Intended source:

US Foundry & Mfg., Corp.

8351 N/W. 93rd Street Medley, FL 33166

Justification for single source acquisition:

USF is the only manufacturer of this special LOGO Cover. We do not know of any other manufacturer that has this logo plate. We will not be able to warrant our Ring with a competitor’s cover or our covers with a competitor's ring. It’s likely that any other foundry / competitor will not warranty it either. The machining and pouring of Iron is different and there can be fit / seating issues in the field.

US Foundry is a market leader in the construction of Municipal Castings in the Southeast. Most all of our manufacturing is performed at our plant in Medley, Florida.
