About this file
This is a Notice of Intended Single Source Procurement issued by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) for water treatment supplies and equipment. The agency seeks to procure United Laboratories proprietary products, specifically United 855 - Liquid Impact and other United Laboratories labeled products used for sewer line maintenance. The procurement covers commodities in the water treatment and supply equipment and consumables categories. The single source advertisement was posted June 22, 2026, with a fifteen-day advertising period ending July 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM. This timeframe allows vendors to submit information regarding their ability to supply the commodities during the designated period by contacting Kim Whitwam, Director of Purchasing, at whitwamk@fsdbk12.org. No competitive bidding process, site visits, or bidders' meetings are applicable to this single source procurement. The contract is intended for fiscal year 2026-2027 with no renewal options specified in the advertisement.
The estimated not-to-exceed dollar amount for this procurement is $10,000.00. The intended source is United Laboratories, Inc., located at 320 37th Avenue, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. The justification for single source acquisition is that United Laboratories, Inc. is the exclusive provider of the specified proprietary products, which are not available through retail channels and can only be obtained through authorized sales representatives. The agency reserves the right to determine whether to proceed with this single source procurement or conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received during the advertising period. Vendors must comply with protest filing requirements under Florida Statutes Chapter 120 within prescribed timeframes.
