About this file
This notice of intent describes the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences' plan to sole source the acquisition of a Nexa3D XiP Pro Industrial 3D Printer. The printer will be used to print Poly Ether Etherketone lab appliances for use in animal studies, requiring durable and autoclave safe parts. Nexa3D is considered the only responsible source able to meet NIEHS' requirements due to its high-throughput resin-based Poly Ether Etherketone 3D printing capabilities, modular open source design, and ability to print Poly Ether Etherketone using resin rather than heat or filament. Interested parties may submit capability statements by July 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM EST to be considered for competitive procurement, though sole sourcing is within the government's discretion. The period of performance is 30 days after order receipt.
