About this file
This is a Single Source Advertisement for the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) regarding the procurement of Phonak and Roger brand hearing aids and assistive listening devices. The advertisement (SS-26-099) was posted on March 2, 2026, at 4:00 PM and will remain open through March 23, 2026, at 4:00 PM, providing a fifteen business day advertising period as mandated by Florida Statutes. FSDB is seeking Phonak and Roger brand hearing aids for fiscal year 2025-2026 with no specific quantities listed in the documentation. This is not a competitive solicitation but rather a notice of intended decision to enter into a single source contract pursuant to Florida Statutes 287.057(3) and 120.57(3).
The estimated not-to-exceed contract amount is $14,000.00. The intended sole source provider is Sonova USA, Inc., located at 750 North Commons Drive, Aurora, Illinois 60504. The justification for single source acquisition centers on Sonova USA being the exclusive US wholesaler for Roger products and the only entity equipped and trained to provide ongoing service and maintenance to educational customers. Sonova USA's national service center in Aurora, Illinois is the only authorized location for service and maintenance on Roger products, and using any other service provider would invalidate product warranties. No alternative sources exist for parts and repair services for Phonak Roger hearing aid equipment and accessories. Vendors believing they can fulfill this procurement are invited to contact Kim Whitwam, Director of Purchasing, at whitwamk@fsdbk12.org during the advertising period to provide information regarding their capabilities.

Estimated Dollar Amount Not-to-Exceed: $14,000.00 Intended source: Sonova USA, Inc.
750 North Commons Drive Aurora, IL 60504
Justification for single source acquisition:

Sonova,USA is the only entity equipped and trained to offer ongoing service to educational customers as the provider of service and maintenance on Roger products.
