About this file

This document is a notice of intended single source procurement published by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) for Phonak and Roger brand hearing aid parts and repair services for fiscal year 2024-2025. FSDB is seeking a sole source provider for these commodities and services, with an estimated not-to-exceed dollar amount of $19,999.99. Phonak U.S. is the intended sole source, as they are the manufacturer and only U.S. provider of Roger products, and they are the only entity equipped and trained to provide ongoing service and maintenance for these products. The public notice is published to comply with statutory requirements, and vendors that believe they can fulfill this need are requested to provide information on their ability to do so within the 15-day advertisement period.

The justification for single source procurement cites Phonak's exclusive manufacturing and service capabilities for the required products and services. No other sources exist for Phonak and Roger hearing aid parts and repair, and using an unauthorized service provider would invalidate the product warranties. Vendors are advised that this is not a competitive solicitation, but rather a notice of FSDB's intent to enter a single source contract.
