About this file
This document is a notice of an intended single source contract by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) for the procurement of user licenses for the Mobex, Inc. YakChat application to facilitate SMS and MMS messaging to and from Microsoft Teams users. The estimated dollar amount for this procurement is not to exceed $21,100.00 for fiscal year 2024-2025. FSDB has determined that Mobex, Inc. is the sole and only provider of the required level of integrated text messaging technology in Microsoft Teams and is advertising this intent for the required 15-business day period pursuant to Florida Statutes.
The justification for this single source procurement is that Mobex, Inc.'s YakChat application is the only source that provides the required level of integration with Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft's bot framework, making it the easiest SMS text solution for Microsoft Teams customers. FSDB has found no other application as user-friendly and specifically focused on two-way communication between Teams users and their respective parties.
