This Statement of Work (SOW) details the manufacturing requirements for one 2-Level Lifting Structure to be delivered to Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in Portsmouth, VA. The approximately 12,000-pound structure must be manufactured according to specific technical specifications, including procuring materials, fabricating components, performing comprehensive load testing, and applying preservation coatings. Key requirements include installing permanent 2,000-lb capacity padeyes, removing burrs and sharp edges, priming and painting the structure gray, and uniquely marking all components to facilitate future reassembly.

The vendor must complete all manufacturing, load testing, and initial assembly at their facility, with load testing involving multiple configurations and static pull tests at designated locations. Upon delivery to NNSY, the vendor will perform a final on-site reassembly, with the shipyard's Lifting and Handling Department assisting with rigging and handling. The SOW includes detailed quality assurance provisions, requiring welder qualification documentation, visual inspection by government representatives, and satisfactory completion of load tests with no permanent deformation. The total manufacturing and delivery timeline is 180 days from contract award, with specific requirements for packaging, shipping, and on-site assembly at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
