About this file

This document is a Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) Single Source Advertisement for a five-year service agreement for proprietary Honeywell digital video monitoring equipment system maintenance. The estimated dollar amount not-to-exceed is $4,451,553.00. The advertisement is seeking Honeywell International, Inc. / Honeywell Building Solutions as the intended sole source provider, as the existing Honeywell Access Control (EBI) and Video Management system (DVM) on the FSDB campus is a proprietary product that requires Honeywell technicians and engineers who are factory trained to modify and work on the system.

The justification for the single source acquisition is that Honeywell is the only provider with the necessary personnel certified to work on these proprietary systems. Honeywell service technicians are familiar with the system's components and have access to Honeywell literature, technical bulletins, and system update information, as well as support from the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and Engineering Centers.
