About this file
This document is a "Notice of Intended Decision to Enter into a Single Source Contract" issued by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) for the procurement of an Access Control (EBI) and Digital Video Management (DVM) system for the Gregg Hall dormitory. The FSDB intends to award this single source contract to Honeywell International, Inc. to provide the proprietary products and services required to integrate the new systems with the existing software and hardware on the FSDB campus. The estimated not-to-exceed dollar amount for this procurement is $40,000.
The FSDB has determined that Honeywell is the sole source provider for this procurement, as the software, programming, and technical expertise required to modify and maintain the systems are proprietary to Honeywell. Only Honeywell employs the certified technicians and engineers necessary to work on these systems, which were originally installed by Honeywell's factory-trained personnel.
