Saw, Cast, Electric, Oscillating – B80H9ZM6B1N1K0STATEMENT OF WORK
08/18/2025
1. Introduction: The 88th Medical Group (MDG) at Wright Patterson Medical Center (WPMC) requires a replacement cast saw and vacuum for removing fiberglass casts without risking cuts, burns, or injuries on patients with the orthopedic clinic.
2. Background: The orthopedic clinic utilizes cast saws to remove casts from patients who require immobilization of a body part. Fiberglass is the standard casting material and requires a medical grade saw for removal. Using hand tools for this procedure would be dangerous and irresponsible to for this purpose as it could cause damage to the healing patient. The addition of an extractor/vacuum is crucial as it is necessary to remove fiberglass casts safely. The dust and debris that is emitted when removing the cast should not be inhaled and should be limited to keep both the patients and employees safe. During our market research efforts we were only able to find the CC7 Cast Saw system to meets these requirements.
