Performance Requirements/Specifications

Any Sprayer proposed must possess certain qualities in order to qualify as a Rangeland worthy tool. This is due to an environment that has uneven surfaces including gullies, rocks and cobbles, badger holes, and mounds. While we are unaware of any sprayers being specifically built with rangeland in mind, a sprayer for our uses should be able to adapt to and hold up to the rigors of rangeland and built on a heavy frame and have heavy duty boom arms. They should have good ground clearance during transport and have the ability to raise the boom arms vertically to spray and clear obstructions like fences and shrubs.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:

• Rangeland capable (built stronger than most agricultural sprayers).

o Heavy duty frame o Heavy duty boom arms

• Minimum 30’ boom length, maximum boom width 60’. (40’-45’ preferred to reduce potential metal fatigue with uneven terrain) Gliding Boom concept.

• Spring loaded breakaway in case boom hits an obstacle to reduce bending.

• Hydraulic Folding Arms

• Air Ride, Spring Ride, Shock Absorber, hydraulic Accumulators, or cushioned boom

• Easy Access to Ball Valves

• Hydraulic boom height tower to clear fences and shrubs and other obstacles.
