About this file

FMC Devens Bread Delivery Schedule

This document is a delivery schedule and requirements specification for bread products supplied to FMC Devens Food Service Department. All bread products must be delivered within 30 days after receipt of order (ARO), with deliveries restricted to 7:30 am to 2:00 pm EST on non-federal holidays. Delivery schedules require pre-arrangement with the receiving warehouse, which must be contacted at (978) 796-1004 prior to delivery for approval or schedule adjustments. Strict enforcement of delivery schedules is mandated, and failure to deliver within the established timeframe constitutes nonconformance to contract terms.

Bread must be delivered on transport racks measuring 30" wide x 45½" deep x 72" high with 4½" wheels, and on stackable bread trays to prevent product damage. All loaves or packages require individual date stamping; lot dating is prohibited as mandatory noncompliance. Julien dates are preferred, though use-by dates are acceptable if they extend at least 10 days from delivery. Non-frozen and perishable items must arrive at 34°F to 41°F. Receipt of delivery may be conditional for up to three days for examination and testing, with some items requiring thawing and cooking for specification verification. Items failing to meet specifications will be refused and must be picked up by the vendor at their expense within two weeks of noncompliance notification, or disposal will be performed by warehouse staff. Contractor failure to meet delivery schedules without excusable delay or failure to conform to specifications will negatively impact past performance ratings and may result in findings of non-responsibility for future awards.
