About this file
This document is a notice of intended single source procurement by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) for Cochlear Americas hearing aid parts and repair services for fiscal year 2024-2025. The estimated dollar amount not-to-exceed is $19,999.99, and the intended source is Cochlear Americas located in Lone Tree, Colorado. The justification for the single source acquisition is that Cochlear products, including their Nucleus, Baha, and Osia systems, are only sold by Cochlear, and they are the sole source for these parts, accessories, and services for their institutional customers, of which FSDB is one.
The notice states that this is not a competitive solicitation or request for bids, but rather a statutorily mandated fifteen-business day advertisement of the intended single source procurement. Vendors who believe they can fulfill this procurement are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the required commodities or services within the advertising period. A determination by FSDB not to conduct a competitive procurement based on any responses received will be at the agency's sole discretion.
