This purchase request is for additional licenses for our Bridgeworks appliances. The new licenses are required to enable backup and restoration of data across the WAN between RML and RDCF. The licenses are important as they enable the fast transfer of data. Bridgework appliances are being used by the Enterprise Storage Team for near real-time transfers, enabling other technologies such as Commvault, aux copies between sites, NetApp Snapshots for data protection, and S3 object replication. All of the mentioned hardware and software are highly critical systems and have been architected and implemented to support the mission/research of the NIAID.
