About this file

This document is a single source advertisement for the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) to procure proprietary Achieve3000 educational software and related services. The performance and design requirements state that FSDB currently utilizes Achieve3000's Differential Literacy Solution educational online services and Technical and Data Support services, and the estimated dollar amount shall not exceed $21,300. Achieve3000, Inc. located in Lakewood, NJ is the intended sole source provider, as they are the only provider of the Achieve3000 Literacy, Achieve3000 Math, Actively Learn, eScience3000, and Smarty Ants educational online services, as well as the LevelSet assessment, which utilize Achieve3000's proprietary, patented technology, copyrighted materials, trade secrets, and source code.

The justification for this single source acquisition is that these Achieve3000 services may only be utilized with the permission of Achieve3000, as they own or license the proprietary elements. The primary contact for any questions is Kim Whitwam, Director of Purchasing at FSDB. This advertisement is not a competitive solicitation, but rather a notice of the intended decision to enter into a single source contract, as required by Florida statutes.
