About this file
This amendment to a request for bids is issued by Boyd County Fiscal Court for the Johnson Fork Bridge Replacement project, identified as project 4860. The procurement involves demolition of the existing bridge structure and installation of a county-provided bridge structure, with the county supplying the new bridge itself. The amendment extends the bid closing date from July 18, 2025 to July 31, 2025, maintaining the 2:00 PM EST closing time.
The amendment introduces a new requirement for a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount, which has been added to the Requested Information section of the DFS Procurement Portal. This clarification specifies that bidders are responsible only for demolition and installation services, as the county will provide the actual bridge structure, potentially affecting cost considerations and project scope for prospective contractors.
