About this file
This document appears to be a map of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan. It provides a detailed overview of the park's trails, scenic areas, camping facilities, and other key features. The related state and local contract opportunity is for a Ski Hill Feasibility Study and Implementation Plan for the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, located in Ontonagon County, Michigan. The contract calls for conducting a feasibility study and developing an implementation plan for a ski hill within the park.
The map outlines the park's trail system, including the North Country Trail, as well as its campgrounds, scenic overlooks, and other amenities. It highlights the Presque Isle River area, known for its falls and rapids, as well as the Union Bay and Lake Superior shoreline. The contract opportunity likely requires the successful bidder to assess the viability of developing a ski hill within the park, including evaluating potential locations, infrastructure needs, and financial considerations, and then create an implementation plan for the project.
