Q&A ON SOLICITATION FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES -19TC1219R0002

1. Total Number of washrooms in the facility

Response: 23 number.

2. Number of trash bins (recycle Bins)

Response: Small bins – 408, big one – 31, bathroom wall mounted bin – 14, bathroom small bin -14, shedders (big) – 20, shedders (small) – 5, recycling bin -34, circle trash cans -18. The values are not fixed and can increase or decrease as needed.

3. With reference to Appendix-A ,Clause 4: Please confirm if the requirement clear plastic trash bag is for all areas only for recycling bins.

Response: Clear bags are required for shedders and recyclables bins.

4. Please confirm how many chandelier in the project? (Section 1.3.6.5), or also clarify us who will be dismantling the chandelier.

Response: There is no chandeliers in building; the janitorial team is required to assist the Facility Management team clean standard light fixtures. The Facility Management team will dismantle and assemble the fixtures.

5. Kindly let us know is there any additional cost for entry pass/gate pass requirement from US-Consulate?

Response: US Consulate does not charge any amount for the entry pass/gate pass. In order to process a security clearance, the vendor is required to provide a copy of the Dubai Police Clearance certificate/good conduct certificate of the proposed employee.

6. What is the name of the current contractor?

Response: Al Fajer Security & Maintenance Services LLC

7. What is your anticipated award date for this contract?

Response: Anticipated date of award is: 30 October 2019

8. What would be the anticipated start date?

Response: The period of Performance for the base year is Dec 01 2019 thru 30 November 2020

9. Have funds been appropriated for this opportunity?

Response: Funds are available for this opportunity.

10. What is the current total annual contract price for this contract?

Response: The current total Annual price of this contract is approximately AED 600,000/-

11. What is the anticipated awarded date?

Response: Please refer to question 8

12. Number of days on a weekly basis and hours (If Saturdays can be entered or not)

Response: The Consulate work hours are 5 days a week (40 hours per week), Sunday through Thursday. We may require your team to work occasionally on Fridays and Saturdays, when certain works cannot be performed on workdays.

13. Kindly clarify if steam wash required for carpet shampooing

Response: Yes

14. Please confirm if the scaffolding can be used for internal and external cleaning task

Response: Scaffoldings are allowed for external works, but at least one of your team members need to be a certified scaffold assembler. For internal works, they need to use fiber ladder.
