About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) amendment to Solicitation 19SA7026Q0008 for electrical repairs and upgrades at Annex Freedom Hall, Embassy of the United States of America in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The amendment was issued on June 10, 2026, and clarifies vendor inquiries regarding project scope and technical requirements. Key deliverables include replacing existing electrical panels, installing six dedicated 120V and 220V 20-ampere circuits for workstation power distribution, installing 12 dedicated circuits for new AC units, and supplying and installing LED light fixtures sized to meet appropriate illumination levels for each area. The contractor must also supply and install a 3000-liter UL-listed double-walled diesel fuel tank for the generator and construct a concrete pad approximately 4000 x 6000 x 400mm. New lighting switches must be provided and installed, and workstation duplex outlets will be prepared and made ready for tapping and termination. The contractor is responsible for preparing comprehensive engineering shop drawings including conduit tracking layouts, branch circuit home-run diagrams, and detailed conduit sizing matrices.
The solicitation clarifies that the generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) are Government-furnished equipment, with generator specifications provided via attached photos. Data/network outlets and structured cabling for workstations are not included in the scope. All existing electrical systems not part of the demolition area must be preserved, with proper dressing and reinstallation of incoming cables to existing panels required per standards. The contractor must determine appropriate power-outlet drop locations based on the provided workstation layout. This RFQ supersedes RFQ 19SA7026Q0010 regarding workstation outlet requirements, with this solicitation covering hallways and designated spaces including offices, while the other RFQ covers only workstation areas.
