About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers attachment to RFQ 19PE5026Q0019 for the Lima VNET Contract, addressing clarifications on equipment requirements and service implementation timelines.

The American Embassy in Lima requires CISCO Catalyst 9000 series networking equipment as a minimum specification, with the Catalyst 9200 Series Managed Switch (24/48 ports) featuring 2 ports fiber SFP module and 24 RJ45 ports at 1GB serving as the baseline equipment. The RFQ also specifies SFP/media converters rated for 1000 MBPS rental costs. Regarding service implementation, the requested timeframe for ISP service access deployment at the Embassy after contract execution is a firm 30-day requirement, with no extension allowance provided despite potential delays associated with importing Cisco equipment. The ISP will maintain full administrative control and configuration authority over the two routers that carry the circuits; the American Embassy in Lima's router is explicitly excluded from this solicitation and is not subject to ISP tampering or configuration. The document references a network diagram (Attachment 1, page 68) depicting the VNET topology with ISP01 Tunnel 6 and associated equipment layout.
