About this file
This document is a comprehensive Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a storage services contract for the U.S. Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand. The document details specific requirements for storing household furniture and general household items, with key specifications including storage in wooden home packs or 20ft containers, no palletization, and storage in a dedicated, separate inventory area within 20 kilometers of Thorndon, Wellington. Security requirements include CCTV monitoring and access control, with potential U.S. Government random audits up to twice per year. The storage facility must maintain a complete inventory using government-provided barcodes, provide proof of delivery documentation, and have contingency plans for potential disruptions. Additional requirements include insurance for stored goods, potential emergency access outside normal hours, and flexibility to handle variable movement volumes, particularly during New Zealand's winter turnover season.
