RFQ 19MX9020Q0020 – IT Equipment

Number Question Answer

Is there any chance to ship the products to the any of the consolidated point in USA?

Delivery should be made to the location specified in the RFQ, no other locations are accepted and will not be eligible for award.

Would you consider partial payment on purchasing the equipment?

Partial payment only applies to Installation and warehousing (if required) since these events can potentially take place after or before (in the case of warehousing) the shipment of all equipment.

If we must warehouse the equipment before it can be shipped, it may put a financial strain on the company for such a large upfront hardware cost.

The US Government cannot pay for goods not yet received – if you believe this will place a financial strain on your company you will need to increase the warehousing costs in your proposal.

Also are Site Surveys allowed to get an idea of the work needed during installation?

Yes, this can be scheduled with the awarded vendor, so they are prepared ahead of time.

Do you require one of our technicians be available at the time the shipment arrives?

Or will the shipping company be enough?

This would be optimal however it is to be reviewed later with the awarded vendor.

Line Item #6 – Avaya IP Office License:

(1) Do you only need the licenses for the phones that will be purchased of for all 2000 users?

(1) The phone we will be procuring should already have their own functional license and we will only be adding the IP Office license to them. We do NOT require the license for the 2000 users already in the server.

(2) Could you provide an action plan for the installation, a migration plan and work schedule so we are aware when we could provide the installation.

What type of configuration you would need and what users you will require the installation for, etc.

(2) We cannot provide this at this stage in the RFQ, this is a discussion we will go into detail with the awarded vendor.

Please provide a proposal to the best of your capacity.

Line Item #8 – Display Monitor:

Should we consider quoting a base for the installation of the monitory and the necessary cables?

Yes, we will require the installation and configuration of the complete module:

monitor, printer and computer.

Depending on the location, the location of the monitor could be via Wi-Fi, via HDMI cable or utilizing a signal amplifier for the cable.

Line Item #9 - Projector Screen:

Could you provide additional details on the use or main function of this item.

This item will be installed in conference rooms.

Line Item #10 - Projector:

Could you provide additional details on the use or main function of this item.

This item will be installed on the ceilings of the conference rooms. Please remember to consider the longitude of the connection cables.

Line Item #11 – Broadband System / Network Hub:

Will a power supply be required? If so, should we consider 2 power supplies?

Yes, a power supply will be required as well as 2 power supplies just as the RFQ states.

Line Item #12 – Modem:

Will a power supply be required?

Yes, this will be required as well as its configuration and installation of each modem.

Line Item #13 – Splitter:

Will a power supplier be required?

No, this item does not require a power supply.

Line Item #14 – Cable:

Can we propose 3 coils of 1000M (3280.84 Feet) and one of 964M (3152.76 Feet) for a total of 3964M (13,008 feet)?

Yes, as long as the coil meets the technical specification required, however, please consider that the cable used for your installation process and simply meeting the minimum length requirement may not be optimal.

Line Item #19 – Display Screen:

Should we consider quoting a base for the installation of the monitory and the necessary cables?

Yes

Line Item #20 – Ground Protection System:

Could you share additional specifications.

The installation plan will be provided by the civil workers contractor (Government of Mexico). The characteristic of the floor is not a problem since a conditioning compound was used for the proper functioning of the system.

What will be installed? Consider that all items that are being procured will need some type of installation. Please review the SOW exhibit in the RFQ carefully.

Will you require transfer of software/information during the installation between previous workstations to new ones?

No, the installation will not involve any type of information transfer, only basic setup is required.
