GARDENING & LANDSCAPING SERVICES: QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Solicitation # 19MU3018R0003
Ques.-1 The residence of Chief of Mission; Soil is probably not well fertilized grass is tired and with many green patches. In such case we usually remove it and replace it with new healthy grass, also changing the existing grass quality is better. (this type of work is one time job and after that comes the maintenance to maintain it healthy and well ) We usually quote such job as one tie bill for one time job, and do not include it on the monthly maintenance. Is it to do the same?
Ans.: Should the Embassy decide to replace the grass for a reason other than contractor negligence, the Embassy would ask the contractor to provide a quote for the work and the Embassy would procured work separately from the contract. For small locations, refer to the Solicitation Section B – Supplies or Services and Prices/Costs, C.5. Lawn Care, under C5.5. Turf Repair and Re-Establishment would apply but not for large areas.
