About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for a Department of State solicitation (19L01025Q0003) for a CCTV and Alarm System installation at a residence in Bratislava, Slovakia. The solicitation requires installing a comprehensive security system with a minimum of 10 cameras (8-megapixel), wireless alarm system with five keyboards, breakage and motion sensors for accessible windows and openings, and a centrally monitored alarm connection. Key technical requirements include new cabling, wireless alarm components, sensor installations, and camera mounting on metallic poles along the perimeter wall, with specific installation guidelines such as minimal garden disruption and embassy personnel approval for cable routing.
The Q&A document clarifies several critical aspects of the project, including installation timelines (10 days after Notice to Proceed, with completion within 15 workdays of technical proposal approval), technical proposal submission requirements, and specific system specifications. Contractors must provide new sensors, remove existing equipment, potentially perform masonry repairs, and trim greenery for camera installation. The system must connect to a 24/7 monitoring station, include a panic alarm, and use a 240-volt UPS with minimum two-hour battery backup. All proposed components must meet or exceed specified technical requirements, and final system design is subject to embassy representative approval.
