First Set of Questions and Answers
Request for Information (RFI) No. 19JA8023N0002
Agile Teaching and SOP Development Services for U.S. Embassy Tokyo, Japan
Question 1:
How firm is the requirement to speak Japanese?
Answer 1:
We will consider recommendation that meet the intent of collaborating and training the local team in their native language.
Question 2:
Is it possible to hire a local national (for translation services) that already has access to the Embassy for this opportunity?
Answer 2:
It is possible to hire locally or partner with local industry and access can be supported with a cleared escort. We would not expect this every day of the week of the POP; but only during key sprints that feedback session is being held or weekly backlogs are being scrummed.
Question 3:
I would like to confirm if the effort mentioned above considered as new requirement or are there incumbent contract(s)? If there is an incumbent vendor(s), would you be able to provide the contract details (such as: Vendor Name, Contract Number, Award and end dates, total contract value) please?
Also, is an estimated value available for this effort? Will it be greater than $250,000?
Answer 3:
This RFI is for informational and planning purposes only and it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an
RFP in the future. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the
U.S. Government (USG) for any actual procurement of materials, devices, or services.
