Is there a potable water connection available with a capacity of at least 20 m³/h within a distance of 50 meter of the borehole location?
There is a Water Supply line reserved for contracting purposes. As it is in throughout the City, water supply is Gravity-flown. The successful Contractor will need to supply a pump to boast the water pressure to whatever their desire is or as stipulated by Specifications. The water supply point is within that range.
Is there electrical power available 380/400V / 100A?
The power supply for the Old Well is still in existence and is operable. The Power will be provided.
What is the maximum height for trucks to enter the site?
Approximately 4.8m
Should clay layers between all aquifers be sealed with clay sealing pellets to prevent short circuiting of the different aquifers?
Bentonite chip seal Grout is specified – See Proposed Well Drawing in the solicitation (Pages:
59-61)
Should there be placed a piezometer in every aquifer to monitor if there is no short circuit between the different aquifers after backfilling the borehole?
This is a requirement only for the main Aquifer so that the Client will know when maintenance is necessary. All other Aquifers will be monitored as is the responsibility of the Water authority.
However after reviewing the BREAKDOWN OF PRICE on attached schedule the following items were not clear.
