SOLICITATION 19GT5018Q0035

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Would a new supplier be replacing a current supplier of the leased vehicles? The current contract is expiring, and the Government is soliciting a new contract.

Are there any current concerns, issues or unsolved problems that need to be addressed by the new supplier? No concerns.

Once the registration requirements are met listed in the Scope of Work, are there any reservation working with a small business? This procurement is not set aside, as this is not required for overseas posts. Anyone may participate as long as offeror complies with requirements in SOW.

Can you give me an estimate mileage amount on a monthly basis? The SOW states that unlimited (free) mileage is required, therefore the Government does not track the mileage of the rental vehicles in the existing contract.

What would be the expected response time for any maintenance/repair of the vehicles? If a vehicle needs replacement due to maintenance or other issues, replacement needs to be made the same day.

Would these vehicles be required to have insurance in both countries? The vehicles will be used within the territory of Guatemala. In the rare occasion that it becomes necessary to drive across any border, the contractor will be advised so that the necessary permits can be arranged for, but the zero deductible insurance policy must still be valid.

Can the biweekly replacement vehicles be vehicles that have been used before on the embassy site? Or does each vehicle be used only one onsite? For security purposes, vehicles should not repeat very often. They may be used more than once, but not consecutively.

Will there be any aftermarket equipment needed (i.e. ladders, hitches, etc.)? No.

Will the vehicles payload haul any hazardous cargo or materials? No.

If I was awarded this contract, what would be the timeline given to have these vehicles delivered? They should be ready on December 9, 2017.

Would there be any prepayment given before the initial delivery of the vehicles? Services are to be invoiced on a monthly basis. The terms of the contract state that EFT payments of invoices are processed within 30 days.
