About this file
This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) file for Request for Quotations Number 19GR1025Q0044 for Bulk Carpentry Supplies for the U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece. The Q&A addresses two key clarification points from potential vendors: product requirements and mandatory documentation.
Regarding product specifications, vendors are instructed to include common wood types for cabinet and furniture fabrication, along with accessories for cabinets, doors, and drawers. Vendors may submit an existing catalog or price list and can optionally include additional items. For documentation, vendors must provide proof of commercial registration in Greece, such as a Chamber of Commerce certificate, G.E.MI. printout, or a recent invoice with company details. A simple confirmation of business operation is not sufficient to meet the solicitation requirements.

Questions & Answers
Q1: We understand there is a self-generated price list or catalog. Please clarify if there are any specific types of products or categories of millwork materials that must be mandatorily included in our pricing submission (i.e. required items)? Conversely, are there any product categories that are considered optional or may be included at our discretion?
A1: Your list should include common kinds of wood for cabinet and furniture fabrication or common kinds of accessories for cabinets, doors, drawers etc. You may also add other items if you wish. If you have an existing catalog or price list, you can submit that.
Q2: Are there any mandatory licenses, certificates (e.g. commercial registration, tax number, etc.)
or experience that must be included in our submission, or is a simple confirmation of valid operation in Greece sufficient?
A2: You must provide a proof of commercial registration in Greece, such as a Chamber of Commerce certificate, a G.E.MI. printout, or a recent invoice with your company details. A confirmation alone is not enough.
