GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Design and finishing. The tonfa cane must be made in one piece and in the same material. All its finishes must be curved, free of corners, burrs, cracks, sharp edges, stains, cracks, twists and defects of the manufacturing process such as bubbles. The parts that are free of Anti-slip should be smooth and smooth and their ends rounded.
Material. The tonfa cane must be made of polymer.
Color. Black color in semi-matt finish.
The color and the finish must be uniform throughout.
Parties. For verification purposes of the tonfa cane, it is divided into four parts: body, main handle, lateral handle and heart, according to the indicated in figure 1.
Body. Indicated in figure 2. It must be of cylindrical shape with a flat finish in a triangular shape as indicated in figure 1 and with a curved end at its end. The flat finish must be clearly defined in the length it occupies.
The diameter of the front face of the body of the shaft must decrease proportionally, in such a way that the difference in diameter of the end of the element with the diameter of the connection with the heart is 2 mm ± 0.2 mm.
Main handle. Indicated in figure 3. It must be cylindrical, it must have an anti-slip finish formed by 10 channels located along the cylindrical piece and 08 channels located around the same piece.
At its end it must have a round head with curved ends.
The anti-slip finish must be located centrally, in relation to the end that joins the heart and the beginning of the head.
Both the channels and the frames that are formed by the effect of the crossing of the same, must be uniform and symmetrical.
Lateral handle. Indicated in figure 4. It must be cylindrical, it must have an anti-slip finish formed by 10 channels located around the cylindrical piece, at its end it must have a round head with curved ends and the union with the heart should be curved shape.
The channels that form the anti-slip finish should be uniform and symmetrical.
The anti-slip finish must be located centrally, in relation to the end that joins the heart and the head in its maximum diameter.
The diameter of the part that joins the heart should be maintained in an extension of 56 mm ± 2 mm, from that location the diameter should be proportionally decreased until it is joined to the head.
Heart. Indicated in figure 5.
For purposes of determining the design of the heart, it will be divided into the following parts:
upper part, lower part, side parts, front face and rear face, the top part will be the one that joins the main handle and the front part. that joins with the side handle.
The back face must have a surface with a granular finish, which will include the entire area of the face, up to 4 mm ± 0.5 mm from the edge of the heart, symmetrically in all its contour.
The width of the heart, starting at a distance of 60 mm ± 2 mm from the joint with the main handle, should decrease 29.5 mm ± 1 mm, until the union with the body.
The front face must have the lateral handle implanted.
The thickness of the heart in the anterior part should decrease proportionally 2 mm ±
0.2 mm, starting from the union with the body until the union with the lateral handle.
This thickness should be kept in the area around the side handle and should be increased proportionally until the main handle is born.
The heart must have two spaces established for the labeling of the element, which must be located in the lateral parts of the same at the height of the lateral handle. For identification purposes of each of the areas, area No. 1 will correspond to that located on the right side (of the element) and area No. 2 to that located on the left side (of the element), taking the cane on the back, with the body facing down.
Dimensions. it must have a total length of 600 mm ± 5 mm, in accordance with that indicated in figure 1 (dimension A) and must comply with the dimensions indicated in tables 1 to 4.

The material. The material of the tonfa-type cane must guarantee the quality of the element and compliance with the requirements established in the standard, related to the physical and mechanical properties indicated below:
- Flexibility The cane must have a flexibility of 85 mm ± 5 mm when a force of 300 N ± 10 N is applied in its central part and it must have a recovery of at least 60 mm, when said central force is removed, as verified.
Likewise, the lateral handle must withstand a force of 500 N, without suffering alterations in its physical properties such as ruptures.
- Hardness. The tonfa-type cane must have a hardness of 90 ± 5shore, when submitting to the trial.
- Compression. The element must withstand a compression of 4000N when it is tested.
Declaration of conformity of the manufacturer.
The manufacturer of the tonfa-type stick must present a declaration of conformity in the Spanish language based on the provisions of the technical standard NTC-ISO / IEC 17050-1 and must attach the supporting documentation established in the technical standard NTC-ISO / IEC 17050- 2, where it guarantees that the item to be delivered complies with the aspects indicated below:

• That the color of the cane is dyed in mass.
• That the tonfa-type cane supports 0.1 kg x m of IZOD impact, in accordance with the provisions of NTC 943.
• That the element supports contact with chemical agents such as soap solution AATCC
1993 WOB, sulfuric acid 59.5%, hydrochloric acid 10%, sodium hydroxide 10%, without causing weakness, loss of color decomposition, changes of mass, change of dimensions, change of appearance and alteration of its physical properties, as established in the NTC 1027.
• That the element resists a temperature of 120 ºC, when it is subjected to a test in a furnace with heat circulation, without its characteristics being altered, according to what is indicated in the ASTM D 3418, ISO 11357 standard.
• That the flexibility of the element is maintained for a minimum period of 1 year.
• That the tonfa-type cane is resistant to scratching during its transport on the user's belt and strap, when subjected to contact with objects and persons.
• That all the raw materials and / or supplies used in the manufacture of the tonfa-type cane, as well as the production processes used in its manufacture, comply with all the requirements laid down in current Colombian environmental legislation.
