Addendum No. 1

To the bid documents for:

IFB 18-114: Latino Community Food Access Program

Part II: Proposal Submission Terms and Requirements

Item 1: The proposal deadline date should read February 13, 2018, as also indicated on the cover page and legal ad, not the sixth.

Vendor Questions and Answers

1. How do you define low cost food? What is included in the category of low cost?

Resources for low cost food would include the Health Incentives Program (HIP) in Supplemental Nutrition

Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit, regional grocery stores with bulk purchasing, and community service agencies.

2. How do you define community resources? Are grocery stores included?

Community resources would include grocery stores, food pantries, farm stands, food bank sites, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office, SNAP enrollment sites, etc.

3. Are community food resources outside of the boundaries of the Town of Amherst included in your definition?

They can be, as long as they are easily accessible by Amherst residents.

4. Will the Town of Amherst commit additional resources outside of this bid to implement the media campaign?

No.

5. What is the timeline for the award process?

There is no strict award timeline set out, but the Town will want to have a contract signed in enough time for the successful vendor to meet the first deliverable deadline. As such, evaluation and award should proceed quickly after the bid deadline.

All other terms and conditions remain unchanged at this time.
