About this file

This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. for two pieces of sewing and textile machinery: a Juki LK1903/BR35 Lockstitch Button Sew Machine and a Brother RH 9820-01 Round Eyelet Sew Machine. The solicitation (No. CT2377-26) is for new equipment only, with delivery to FCI Beaumont in Texas. The contract is a fixed-price, Definite Delivery/Definite Quantity type, with a 60-day offer validity period.

The evaluation will be based on three factors: past performance, technical capabilities, and price. UNICOR's Textile Manufacturing Specialists will conduct a technical evaluation rating each machine as Best Offered, Acceptable, or Unacceptable, considering technical specifications, brand name equivalence, durability history, parts availability, and warranty. Past performance and technical capabilities are considered significantly more important than price. Offers are due by October 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST, and can be submitted via commercial delivery service to UNICOR Butner in North Carolina or by email. The solicitation is unrestricted and set aside for various small business categories, including women-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
