About this file
This document is a security review checklist for federal grand jury court reporter contractors under the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA) contract AI-10-1E. The checklist serves as an assessment tool to verify contractor compliance with mandatory security requirements for handling grand jury (GJ) materials and information.
The checklist contains 20 essential security requirements organized by security clause paragraphs, covering personnel security, physical facility security, information protection, and data management. Key requirements include: maintaining an approved list of employees and sub-contractors with access to GJ materials; ensuring all personnel complete favorably adjudicated background investigations; securing GJ processing and storage in government-approved rooms with government-approved locks; restricting keys and access codes to specifically identified and approved individuals; implementing alarm systems that are externally monitored by approved professional security services with quarterly activity reporting and annual testing; storing GJ materials in USAO-approved storage containers with annually changed combinations; restricting administrative controls on all devices used for GJ work; marking all devices and removable media containing GJ information; deleting shared information before device or media sharing; destroying or disposing of all GJ materials in a government-approved manner; properly packaging, marking, transporting, and shipping GJ materials per contract specifications; and maintaining preparedness to report any incidents or situations that place GJ information at risk. The checklist includes columns for marking each requirement as either "Compliant" or "Noncompliant" and space for additional comments and observations.
