Response to Questions
15JA0522Q00000073
Grand Jury & Deposition Court Reporting Services, USAO-NCW (Asheville)
The following questions were received for RFQ 15JA0522Q00000073 —
Question 1. We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?
Answer 1. This is not a new requirement. The incumbent is Asheville Reporting, IDIQ DJJ-17-D-EOA02-0128.
Question 2. In reference to the recently posted Asheville grand jury solicitation on the SAM website, there is a sentence in the posting that says: “Please review Attachment 3 - RFQ Checklist of the Solicitation for mandatory contents to be included with all quote submissions.” I do not see an Attachment 3 and am wondering how I can find it.
Thanks.
Answer 2. I listed the Attachments 2-5 separately on SAM.gov so the solicitation wouldn’t be excessively long. I have a snippet below:
If there any problems opening the documents, please let me know.
Question 3. We will only handle the transcripts electronically. Are we eligible to bid if we don't have a facility.
Answer 3. The U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) does not have enough space to store all of the grand jury material for the entire period of performance of this contract and they are not providing any government property for a safe; thus, they need a vendor with enough space. Also, the USAO also requires that on some occasions, their transcripts are received physically (as a hard copy). It may be possible for them to be mailed/couriered and you can include that in the quote.
