Questions & Answers
Solicitation 15JA0522Q00000003
1. Personnel (pg 2 of 40) - Can one of the positions be a combined electronic court reporter/videographer?
We are not sure what a combined electronic court reporter/videographer entails. Requesting clarification.
2. Audio/Video Transcription (pg 6 of 40) - What is USAfx and what is required to access this program or application. Is this the only method allowed to exchange or share documents?
The USAfx system is a USAO sponsored cloud based site designed for sharing files among both internal and external users. It can be used in lieu of exchanging files via burning CD/DVD disk or emailing them. For data security, USAfx automatically encrypts (secures) the files as they are uploaded, held and while being downloaded. This is a File Exchange mechanism, NOT a File Storage system. Transcripts shall be sent via USAfx (USAO’s proprietary Box Platform), encrypted email (less than or equal to 25 megabytes), encrypted thumb drive or encrypted CD
3. EOUSA A1-10-1A - Personnel Security Requirements for Contractor Employees (pg 15 of 40) - Currently our court reporters have established security clearance in 2021 through DOJ for Federal Grand Jury assistance. Will this clearance carry over to these services? Or do our staff need to go through background investigations again?
Background investigations are not required for services in this contract.
4. Covered Information System/Cyber Security (pg 22 of 40)/(pg 24 of 40, e.) - Our transcribers work from their home office. Will this be an issue from cyber security point of view? If transcribers use stand-alone systems, e.g., no connection to the internet, will that satisfy security requirements?
This is acceptable, although, connection to the internet will be required using one of the exchange methods mentioned in #2 above to transfer the data.
5. How many rush jobs have been required in the past?
This information is not provided, however, the estimated maximum quantities for this effort are listed in Attachment 2 – Pricing Schedule.
6. How many depositions have required travel beyond 50 miles?
