Process Servers, USAO, DC
Statement of Work U.S Attorney’s Office, District of Columbia
Process Server Service
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The mission of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia (USAODC) is to enforce the criminal laws of United States and the District of Columbia, defends the interests of the United States in civil litigation, and respond to the public safety needs of the community by leading and effective, well-coordinated law enforcement effort that contributed to the overall goal of improving the quality of life in the District of Columbia.
2.0 BACKGROUND
The USAODC is unique among the 94 U.S. Attorney’s Offices across the nation by virtue of its size and its varied responsibilities. We are the largest United States Attorney’s Office with over 400 Assistant United States Attorneys and over 350 Support personnel. The USAODC is unique in that we are also responsible for cases in the District of Columbia that would normally be handled by State’s Attorneys. Our Civil division represents the United States and its departments and agencies at both the trial and appellate levels in civil actions filed in this jurisdiction.
We are part of the Department of Justice and provide legal and investigative services for lawsuits brought against and by the United States. The USAODC is divided into five litigating Divisions: Appellate, Civil, Criminal, Special Proceedings and Superior Court.
