About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding Solicitation Number 15BNYM23Q00000001 for solid waste removal services at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. The solicitation requires waste removal for a 38 cubic yard compactor and a 30 cubic yard open top container on a will-call basis, as estimated in Section V of the RFQ. Contractors must pick up and replace containers within 24 hours of notice, as stated in Section VI. Pricing for the last performance period under the previous contract number 15BNYM20D00000037 was $1,143 per pull for the compactor and $653.85 per pull for the open top container. Clarification was provided that the trip charge in CLIN 0004 applies if the contractor arrives for a scheduled pull but it cannot be completed due to an issue on the government's end. Two containers must be on-site at all times - one government container and one contractor container, with the government container picked up and replaced within 24 hours.

CLIN 0001 – Is for 38 yd compactor and I am assuming the unit price is for transport and disposal. Yes CLIN 0002 – Is for 30 cubic yard open top and again assuming unit price is for transport and disposal. Yes CLIN 0003 – Overage per ton? I have read the solicitaon and it does not menon a maximum tonnage for the compactor, or the 30 yd open thus I am not certain how the overage comes into play. I will speak with the requiring acvity and define the maximum. An amendment will be issued via www.sam.gov to reflect the changes.
CLIN 0004 – Clarificaon on trip charge would be appreciated also based on the assumpon that the boxes are being price at T&D rates? The trip charge is in the event the contractor is nofied to pick up and they arrive at the instuon and due to an issue on our end, the pull cannot be made.
Are you wanting 2 containers on site or are you wanting the government containers swapped out with the contractor’s container? Two containers on-site. One government container and one contractor container. The government container will be picked up and replaced within 24 hours. It must be returned.
Do you know how often you will need it serviced? It will be on a will call basis at the quantities estimated in Section v of the RFQ. They are required to be picked up and replaced within 24 hours of notice. See Section vi of the RFQ: Statement of Work: Performance Schedule. For maintenance of equipment, See Section vi of the RFQ: Statement of Work: Maintenance of Equipment.
Is there an incumbent contract? Would it be possible to get the contract/task order number? There is no contract in place as the option year was not exercised. The contract number was 15BNYM20D00000037.
