About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) for Gender Reassignment Surgery (GRS) services in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. The FBOP is conducting market research to gather information on interested firms and their capabilities to provide GRS services, including male-to-female and female-to-male top and bottom surgeries, both inpatient and outpatient. The RFI requests information on the specific services firms can provide, the CPT and DRG codes that would be used, the physician specialties required, Medicare pricing considerations, and the feasibility of simultaneous top and bottom procedures. The RFI also asks about the respondents' business size, small business program eligibility, medical liability insurance, and proposal preparation and service start timelines. The responses to this RFI will assist the FBOP in determining the appropriate procurement method for the anticipated GRS services requirement.
