PROJECT 23Z4AN7 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
SOLICITATION 15BFA023B00000043
1. Slope of floor: Will the current slope of the floor for drainage be acceptable or is the contractor responsible for resloping the floor?
CLARIFICATION: The SOW requires no RESLOPING.
2. The tile base cove will be removed by others. Prime Coat normally installs a 45 degree angle 2” Cant cove base.
Would that be acceptable?

3. Is Cove base required around cement columns, if so, the stainless-steel wrap would need to be removed during demo process. (See picture that Officer took, I did not get a copy of them)

4. If you are facing the Power panels the one to the right, next to the cement column, has a very tight opening. I could not get my hand between panel and column, would best prep and coating effort be acceptable, or can the panel be moved?
CLARIFICATION: Best prep and coating effort will be acceptable.
5. We are basing our saw cutting to cut around the drains with a 2’ x 2’ perimeter. Is that sufficient or do you require us to cut a greater perimeter around the drains to create greater slope for drainage?

7. Is scanning of the floor required prior to saw cutting?

8. There are 2 existing trench drains. I believe only 1 is shown on drawing. Confirming no work is being done with either?
CLARIFICATION: Correct.
9. Please confirm that all disconnecting of equipment, any reworking of supplies, and reconnecting of kitchen equipment is to be done by owner?
CLARIFICATION: See SOW, page 2: The Food Service/Kitchen Area indicated by the drawings shall be deemed a “construction zone” and will not be active during the life of this project. All kitchen equipment such as, but not limited to ovens, griddles, steam kettles, mixers, warmer tables, dishwashers, carts, sinks, etc., will be removed by the institution staff prior to the Contractor beginning demolition and construction. The three existing walk‐in coolers will remain in the kitchen during construction. The utility rough‐in connections for all removed kitchen equipment will remain, and the Contractor shall protect all connection points from potential construction damage. The Contractor shall replace all damaged equipment connections to match existing; so as not to hamper the institution’s re‐ installation of equipment.
