1. Are there 6 Roof top units per the 3 separate buildings listed in the introduction?
There are six roof top units total. Four units are atop Building 346 and two units are atop building 345.
2. Line Item (3) states "provide, install, and program the front‐end desktop workstation in all buildings." Is this asking for Tridium Jace 8000 (or equivalent) in each building? That Jace is capable of controlling all 3 buildings if there is only 6 roof top units per building.
There are multiple air handlers, VAV, fan coil units, and fan powered VAV’s in the buildings so 1 Jace will not accommodate the number of output devices.
3. If there is to be one Jace overall, and one work station per building, is there conduit and chase already in place to connect the three different existing systems to the new Jace?
The software will need to be put on a workstation that will then be added to the Bureau of Prisons network for access. There is a conduit between the buildings.
4. Of the 3 buildings mentioned in this project, which Building will require the 6 Air Handlers mentioned in the Solicitation?
There are 7 air handlers in building 346, 4 air handlers in building 345 and 2 air handlers in building 344.
5. Are control drawings available, and will contractors be allowed a copy for use on this project?
The BOP does not have control drawings available.
6. With regards to the LAN connectivity between buildings, is there a fiber connection or copper connection (Cat 5/6) available for exclusive use, for the new BAS JACE network?
The system will be on the BOP Network.
7. Please confirm the accessibility and IT authorization to utilize the shared LAN to communicate from the front‐end workstation to each of the three buildings HVAC related equipment?
We do currently have the appropriate IT authorization and accessibility to utilize the shared LAN to communicate from the front‐end workstation to each of the three buildings HVAC.
8. The SOW states that the requirement is to incorporate six existing rooftop a/c units into the building management system. During the site visit, other equipment was identified such as an indoor AHU, chiller, and boiler. Are these and any other equipment to be included on the new BMS?
All existing equipment will be on the system. This would include any and all Chillers, AHU’s, boilers, vav’s, fan powered vav’s, fan coil units, fans, and dampers.
9. Please clarify if a new front‐end desktop workstation is required for each of the three buildings on a shared network?
We require one front end desktop to operate all three buildings.
10. Are new printer(s) a requirement of the new workstation(s)?
No.
11. Please provide a complete set of As‐Built plans for the three buildings inclusive of architectural, mechanical, civil, and electrical.
As‐built plans for all three building will be provided to the awardee after contract award.
