Questions and Answers 1:
Q: Bids (Response to the Solicitation) are due May 03, 2021 at 4:00 PM CDT, not June 02, 2021 at 4:00 pm CDT as per the original solicitation.
A: Yes, please let me know if you need more time.
Q: The Contractor is to supply natural gas and transport it to existing demarcation point on the FCI Aliceville property. This is not a transport only contract.
A: Yes, the contract is for the supply and transportation of natural gas. If you are unable to supply the natural gas, please let me know.
Q: We would like to set up a site visit to view Arapaho's facilities for the purpose of evaluating the potential purchase and use of these facilities in supplying gas to FCI Aliceville.
A: Yes, a site visit is expected and can be arranged. Please contact the Acting Facilities Manager, Joseph Findley to arrange a time.
The details regarding the site visit will be announced via this website. Please contact Bonnie Bueter, if you need additional details.
Q: Paragraph 2.B.3(a) of the solicitation requires the Contractor to connect to the existing prison service line located near the northern property line. Will the southern connection be available to us, or do we need to include the cost of building approximately one mile of pipeline from the southern property line to the northern property line in our cost proposal for providing gas service to the prison?
A: The Contractor will be required to supply natural gas and provide service to the existing natural gas demarcation point located at or near the property line near the northern entrance to the BOP site from Highway 14. In the alternative, Contractor may provide an offer for supplying natural gas and providing service from the southern entrance. As stated in the Statement of Requirements, the Contractor is encouraged to submit any viable alternatives that may be available to the Contractor and/or the Government. Each alternative shall be as specific as possible as related to associated costs, or credit, to the Government. The Government does not intend to build any pipeline at its own expense. All pipeline must be provided for by the contractor and included in its offer.
