About this file

This document is a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) for a federal contract opportunity. The Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) at the United States Penitentiary in Jonesville, Virginia requires the removal of onsite trash and has determined that using the Lee County Transfer Station is the only responsible source available due to county regulations. The total estimated fees for the six-month period from April to September are $20,000.00. Market research confirmed the Lee County Transfer Station is the sole provider, and the fees charged to the government are fair and reasonable. This JOFOC justifies awarding a sole source contract for landfill transfer services to an unnamed vendor under Solicitation Number 15B11724PR000120 effective 2024-03-27.
