About this file

This is a delivery schedule document for a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) food service contract. All awarded food items must be delivered between September 21, 2026 and September 30, 2026, with no deliveries accepted after the deadline. Deliveries are restricted to Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm, and vendors should contact the Food Service warehouse at (919) 575-5000 ext. 1441 or ext. 1058 to coordinate delivery times. All deliveries must be palletized unless prior arrangements have been approved by warehouse staff.

The document establishes specific temperature and quality requirements for all food products. Non-frozen perishable foods must arrive at temperatures between 34°F and 40°F, while all frozen foods must be delivered at 0°F or below with any evidence of prior thawing resulting in refusal. All items must strictly comply with BOP National Menu Specifications, and vendors are responsible for obtaining these specifications prior to submission. All Certified Religious Diet Items must be clearly marked or will be refused. The Government reserves the right to conduct close inspections and may thaw and cook items to verify specification compliance. Receipt of delivery may be conditional for up to three days to allow for examination and testing. Non-compliant items will be refused, and conditionally received items found unacceptable must be picked up by the vendor at their own expense within two weeks of notification; items not retrieved within this timeframe will be properly disposed. Failure to meet delivery schedules without excusable delay or failure to conform to specifications will negatively impact the contractor's past performance record and may result in debarment from future solicitations.
